Design phase over – remodeling phase begins!
We spent the day removing all the existing fixtures and cabinetry. We found a couple of surprises – very typical with a remodel. We found rotted wood below the tub from a slow leak so we replaced a joist and the subfloor.
Here is where we are starting:
Now we remove tub + shower fixtures, surround, toilet, cabinetry, sink + faucet.
All the way down to the studs! See how we carefully covered the floor as the Kimballs wanted to keep it.
